I deem it a great pleasure to extend you a hearty and cordial welcome to the hollowed portals of Bengal School of Technology. Sugandha, in the district of Hooghly in the state of west Bengal, a unique temple
of learning.
Bengal School of Technology-(A college of Pharmacy)one of the leading Institutes of its kind in the eastern belt of the country with the state-of-the art infrastructural facilities, was established in the year 2006 by the Supreme
Educational Development & Charitable Organization (SEDCO) as a noble venture ,
with a view to transform the bright youngsters of our society, who have opted for Pharmacy
as a career , are nurtured to generate competent, skilled human resources to meet the dynamic
challenges of the Pharmaceutical Industry, Hospital Pharmacy ,Pharmaceutical entrepreneurship
and all other relevant healthcare sectors, with continued academic precocity and penchant for
research and to serve the society with a lifelong commitment to adopt the holistic approach
of human values and professional ethics to meet the clarion call of Health for all.
The Institute is strategically located in a 4.5 acre sprawling picturesque campus at Sugandha on the Kolkata Delhi Highway near to Chinsurah Railway Station in
the Howrah to Bandel Main Railway line in the district of Hooghly in the State of West Bengal.
The location and the campus environment with unique academic ambience away from the din
and bustle of the cosmopolitan city of Kolkata, provides a refreshing environment of a
Knowledge Resource Center to nurture the young intellectuals in the respective domains of
education and research. The nearest Airport (Netaji Subash Chandra Bosh International Airport)
is located at Dumdum Kolkata.
The Institute offers a Two Years Diploma in Pharmacy Program, a four-year B. Pharm
program and a two-year M. Pharm in Pharmaceutics, and M. Pharm in Pharmacology.
The Institute is approved by Pharmacy Council of India New Delhi. The Institute is
affiliated to Maulana AbulKalam Azad University of Technology (formerly known as West
Bengal University of Technology) Kolkata, for B.Pharm and M.Pharm Program. The Institute
is affiliated to West Bengal State Council of Technical &Vocational Education and Skill
Development for the Diploma in Pharmacy Program. The Institute is also registered with the
Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals, (CPCSEA)
Department of Animal Welfare Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India, New
Delhi. The Institute is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
The Institute is also accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for
B.Pharm programme.
