Language Lab
Good communication skills are indispensable for the success of any professional.The language laboratory plays an important role in the language learning process.Innovative products such as digital multimedia control, headsets and microphones, the interactive response pad, etc. are very useful for students learning languages for communication.The electronic devices used in our laboratory will stimulate the eyes and ears of the student to acquire the language quickly and easily. The laboratory's collection is designed to assist learners in the acquisition and maintenance of aural comprehension, oral proficiency, and cultural awareness.
Library
The library is the main learning resource center and provides services and facilitates to meet the requirements to study, teaching, training, research and consultancy programmes. It is the ocean of knowledge and acts as a backbone for nurturing the young minds and the institution has the most rich resource center of creativity. The library offers access to a wide range of both printed and electronic sources of information, particularly, the current affairs related to global economy and technological inventions to the students as well as the faculty member. It is the nerve center of all the intellectual and academic activities of the institute. The institute has a well stocked library with latest books, periodicals, journals, CDs covering all aspects of Pharmaceutical Technology and resourced with a wide collection of volumes on each subject. The research section is rich and provides access to wide range of database used in project works and assignments. The library collection is constantly revised and upgraded with latest editions and new inclusions. Students can also avail reprographic services, computer printing, and scholarship application assistance from the library.
Computer Center
The computer center is the heart of the any technical institute. With the recent boom in the information technology (IT), computer has become an absolute necessity in every stream of education as well as in every profession. BST has therefore, made a huge investment in setting up and maintaining an excellent computer center with new age technology to integrate the use of IT. The computer center offers an excellent infrastructure for imparting software and hardware skills to the students using latest software tools and technologies. The institute has sophisticated, state of the art computer lab, a fully networked environment, high performance servers, the latest Intel processor based systems, broadband internet access, the required software (licensed), the best of printers, scanners, CD/DVD writers, Special statistical packages, CAD/CAM workstation, decision support system and electronic databases. Students are assured of more than adequate computer time, an excellent IT environment, qualified and extremely helpful staff and all the necessary software support. The students can work on their assignments, prepare their presentations, persue computer courses, learn new languages, keep up to date with technology, perfect their programming skills receive online training and hone their computing skill here.
Animal House
Drugs and pharmaceuticals need to be tested on animals prior to human administration. Therefore, a Pharmacy College needs to maintain a well-equipped animal house facility for enabling the students to study the effects of drugs on animal models. In line with this requirement, our College maintains a well-equipped animal house, set-up and maintained as per CPCSEA (Committee for Purpose of Control of Supervision on Experiments on Animals). The facility is manned by well-trained staff and supervised by duly qualified and experienced faculty members. The area is used for carrying out experiments required for regular UG and PG practical as well as specialized experiments conducted by students for their PG research works (projects). Laboratory
The laboratory is the heart and soul of any pharmaceutical institute. Much emphasis has therefore, been given to build up most modern laboratories for the use of students. All laboratories are well ventilated, spacious, and equipped with gas, water, electricity and high quality chemicals, instruments. The college has all the labs required to take care of practical classes as stipulated in the syllabus of University and they are as per AICTE norms. Separate Research And Development Laboratories are maintained to encourage students for research work.
Medical Plant Garden
Since time immemorial, plants have provided mankind with plethora of valuable medicines and pharmaceuticals. Pharmacy course requires the students to learn and practice exploration and exploitation of drugs from various origins including the plant kingdom. Keeping in view this requirement, our College has setup a medicinal plant garden comprising of different varieties of easily cultivable plants and herbs
Rain water harvesting
Today, scarcity of good quality water has become a significant cause of concern. However, Rainwater, which is pure and of good quality, can be used for irrigation, washing, cleaning, bathing, cooking and also for other livestock requirements
Rainwater harvesting is the simple process or technology used to conserve Rainwater by collecting, storing, conveying and purifying of Rainwater that runs off from rooftops, parks, roads, open grounds, etc. for later use
In Bengal School of Technology, the process of rainwater harvesting involves the collection and the storage of rainwater with the help of artificially designed systems that run off naturally or man-made catchment areas like- the rooftop.The rainwater harvesting system is one of the best methods practised and followed to support the conservation of water
